Another way of limiting damage on S-days, which I've mentioned before, but I guess it bears repeating, is to identify a really nice treat in advance and eat it before you start chewing up the rug. This has at least three advantages: 1) You'll probably wind up eating less, because an appetite that has been treated with respect won't be out for revenge. 2) You'll eat something you really enjoy instead of what is nearest at hand. Pleasure *is* an advantage. 3) Noting a temptation during the week for future delectation can help defer/avoid the temptation.
