Subject: Religion, anyone?

or politics? Now that we have some good threads going
on aspartame and America vs. world...

There is an Internet convention called Godwin's Law
which holds that any non-WWII/holocaust related thread
in which Hitler and/or Nazis crop up is officially
over. In that spirit:

1) to the best of my knowledge, Hitler didn't use
aspartame

2) the Nazis had great health insurance for straight
Aryans free of congenital health problems, but they
didn't like America (or the UK).

Let's get back to fat people, OK?

In case anyone cares:

1) I personally don't worry about aspartame, but I
don't consume a lot of it. I don't have an official
position on the subject. I'm not impressed by the
anti-aspartame literature, but I also don't think
tricking your body with non-sugar sweets is a good
long term *psychological* strategy.

2) I'm a patriotic American (U.S. America, sorry
fellow bi-continentals for using this chauvinistic
shorthand), but it's OK with me if you come from
another country with another health care system (like
my parents). I worked in London for a bit and loved
it. Whether under the influence of O'Brian's "Post
Captain," which I'm just about through, or "Baby
Beethoven," which includes a babyfied version of
Wellington's victory, I actually caught myself singing
"Hail Britannia" this morning.
