I agree with John -- quick fixes don't usually work. You didn't get heavy overnight, and you aren't going to lose it overnight either. I haven't weighed myself in a while now. My clothes are looser and I feel and look better. That's all that matters to me. And I don't flog myself over what I eat, although I have noticed that I tend to eat less overall most days. For breakfast this morning, I had a steak (all the while thinking about this very steer that slammed me into the corral panel last winter :)) eggs freshly plucked from under a hen before I came in the house, and homemade bread with elderberry jam I canned last summer. YUM! I still eat all the good things that I want, but I don't shovel the junky crap in like I used to. I find it increasingly easy to tell myself --just wait for dinner, supper, whatever... I find myself savoring what I eat rather than just mindless gnawing on "stuff" And really, shouldn't your food be a source of enjoyment and satisfaction? :) Tracy |
