In regards to the article on French eating habits...for many years I was 
a
slim person living in Geneva. Breakfast was small, normally bread and jam 
or
Nutella, dinner was the big meal, and supper was usually soup, bread, and
salad. No snacks. Pretty much the way I was raised, although that was in
Boston, and in my Itialian family, and I always had ice cream after school..
only snack, and did not care for any other sweets.
Someone asked how I could get hypoglycemic on a low carb diet. I am
borderline, but not ,diabetic, and for some reason the strick locarb makes
me ill. I do eat smart choices for carbs however, aside from veges, some
fruit, whole grain, beans.
